Hiiiiii
Well hello there! Here is a little bit about me to kick this blog off. My name is Rebecca Owens. I'm 22 years old. I've been vegetarian for 8 months now. I'm a new transplant to Portland ,Oregon. I moved here with my best friend about a month ago. I live in Multnomah Village. I'm just going to be writing about my experiences in this city. It will probably mostly be about food and silly things. It's 2:55 AM here and I can't believe i'm still awake! I woke up at the crack of dawn to attend Try Vegan PDX's Veg Quest today with Hart, Shawn, and Kristie. I call it the crack of dawn because you have to do a little crack to function so early. F.Y.I coffee = PDX crack. I fed my addiction at Village Coffee which is conveniently located by the 44 to Portland bus stop in Multnomah Village. I had the blended chocolate cappicine. The Veg Quest was fun. We had to find our way around the city looking for clues at vegan foodie joints and shops. I need to go back to Petunia's and Herbivore for some quality time. Petunia's makes handmade gluten free and vegan pastries. Herbivore is a retail store that makes cruelty-free fashion and accessories. Some highlights (meaning food!) of my day were the Mount St. Helens sunday from Back To Eden, The Chill Out Wings from Veggie Grill, and last but not least (sort of like our team in the quest) a Garlic pie from the food cart Vegetalista. I freaking love food carts. Food carts are in the top running for reasons why I love Portland. Basically I had a good day with lots of good food.
